Our family has been presented the opportunity quite often to sit and listen in Bible studies, fellowship meetings, and Gospel services. These experiences are good at showing us how much our kids hear things without "listening."
Adrian has been full of wonderful questions lately. He still refuses to pray with us at night because he doesn't "know how," but he is definitely the owner of a soft heart! He asked me last week "Where is God?" Luckily we heard on Sunday about how God is nearby and dwells in our hearts. Not sure if he heard it, but I have been trying to reiterate thoughts we've heard from meeting to help solidify things and also make myself remember, too!
We also read a book recently something about not having much and needing to be thankful. So we started sharing things that we are thankful for at mealtimes, along with our best and worst experiences from the day.
Adrian was eating a snack just a little bit ago and he told me matter-of-factually that he was "thankful that God lives in my heart!"
My heart melts when they say things like this. I just hope that the experiences they go through in life doesn't change their thankfulness about God living in them!
I love how kid make us think about things! And, I love that little face that looks JUST like his mama's :)
