Updates

Posting any pictures or updates on here has been neglected once again.  However, there HAS been progress!

There's a lot more work that is noticeable on the inside... insulation, wiring, plumbing, HVAC, interior doors.  Drywall is scheduled to be delivered this coming week and hopefully more of the outside gets completed.  Kitchen cabinets are getting underway this week- hopefully.  So... a lot getting done, but more yet to do!

Big news... our rental house sold and I told them we can be out by October 31st.  We'll be out, but not sure we'll be in the new house by then.  That's still a little less than 5 weeks away... a lot can (or cannot) happen in that amount of time!!  I'm trying to figure out when to start packing things up...

And then 7+ weeks until Little Miss arrives.  Nothing like making sure everything happens all at once!!

Ready to move

Well, July came and went and I have nothing to prove it except pictures.  Oops.  There's progress on the house, baby growing, school registered for, and stress like crazy.  Dave is stressed about the house things and the process of it... I'm stressed about what happens when it's done!
I realized today (August 2nd) that we were hoping to be in this house by now.  2 months ago.  I am already trying to pack up boxes to get ready to move.  And we're still at least 2+ months away....

Not a whole lot more has been done since this picture was taken last week, but it is ready for a roof and all the outside stuff (shingles, siding, stone), and all the inside stuff (windows, plumbing, electrical stuff, etc).  Our builder says the drywall should be up by the end of this month...
It doesn't help my wanting to get into the house that our landlord decided they want to get our rental house listed for sale again.  I did some boxing up of some things that we should not need until we move and really felt like I wanted to get going on the moving process.  Of course, I've felt like I could move right after we got to this place...
So the lesson I need to learn is patience.  I am constantly thinking about all the things that are going to need to happen after we get into the house.  And I know that I am going to have a baby November 12th, if not before.  sigh... 
I have been reassured by a few people that things will be fine, so I am trying to be more helpful with the things that need done NOW instead of wasting my energy on things I can't control in the future.  Who knows- we may be pleasantly surprised at how fast things go the next 2 months.  I'm not counting on it, but we don't know!
In the meantime we will be distracted by convention, soccer, school, Adrian's birthday, and whatever else comes up!  Oh, I suppose we'll be distracted by the work we need to do on the house, too!

And 3D baby... 

We got the ultrasound done this week to find out what gender we're getting this time.  The baby has been in breech position for at least a month or more... making it a tad difficult to even check the heart beat.  So when she asked if we wanted to know what we're having, she said she's pretty sure it is a girl!  Dave & I have a hard time believing it because we've only known boys.  And the fact that things were hard to see clearly for her because of positioning, we find it even harder to believe.  So... we'll say we "think" it's a girl for now until things are confirmed!

Those are the words the boys are hearing most often.  Sometimes they grumble, but now that things are happening, it's a bit more exciting!  I'll let the pictures talk for themselves and make little comments along the way.
