When Dave was in France, Samuel wanted to have a surprise party when he got home- all the trimmings with streamers, balloons, etc.  Hardly anyone we knew was available that night, so we made signs for him instead:

When we got home from Oklahoma, all the leaves on our front trees were down- meaning that we had a couple days of raking ahead of us.  This weekend we had good weather, an extra set of hands to help out (part of the time!), and despite coughing colds, we were outside most of the weekend.  We got a good pile built up for the leaf collectors, and we had some other fun with the pile as well...
